yep, if there's one thing i've learned about the Conan franchise since March this year when i started it... don't think something's real till Conan himself explains it. Kir was a TV personality, a Black Organization operative, a CIA agent, daughter of Hondou Sr. another CIA agent, and the older sister of Eisuke. Jodie-sensei was a teacher, an FBI agent, and the daughter of one of Vermouth's assassination victims. Haibara's a little girl, she was a 20 something BO scientist, and the younger sister of Akai's girlfriend. heck Shinichi's own mom was a student of the previous Phantom Thief, the present Kaito Kid's dad. Vermouth was her own mother, herself, a serial killer in New York City, and a fellow student of the elder Phantom Thief.

This was the latest episode when I caught up to the show back in 2008, I had the same feeling that there was no way he'd just up and die, so I got to spend about 7 years trying to put the pieces together with everyone else who had no clue either. Good times.
